Intarsia is a type of inlay that dates back to the Italian Renaissance period.  Our intarsia differs from our flush inlays only in the design of the individual inlay pieces.  The pieces making up the intarsia design have rounded edges that add definition. We use both domestic and exotic woods, and use variations in color and texture to create each unique design.
